Office Depot honored as environmental partner

Office Depot was awarded the Environmental Partner Award from Webster Industries for diverting millions of pounds of plastic from landfill through the sale of recycled content ReClaim™ and Earth Sense™ trashcan liners. Through its use and sale of these products, over the past three years, Office Depot has prevented nearly 2.4 million pounds of plastic from going to landfills or being incinerated.  “We commend Office Depot for its continued focus on environmental sustainability,” said Jack Shields, president of Webster Industries. “Their strategic marketing of environmentally preferable products has put Office Depot at the forefront of the ‘green’ movement.
