Gift cards go mobile with new platform

September 17, 2008 at 10:00 am

Using the Textable Gift Card™ (TGC) platform, Green Commerce Inc. now offers instantly delivery of gift cards.  The TGC platform allows retailers and service providers around the world to offer Text Message (SMS) based gift cards to their customers.  The brand-able, customizable and easy to use hosted gift card platform not only allows retailers and service providers to sell text based gift cards right from their websites, but it is a greener alternative.  The retailer is no longer involved in ordering, storing, activating and mailing these cards as it is all done online by the consumer.  “Texting is becoming a trend and as mobile commerce catches on, the new generation is expecting to give and receive gifts on their cell phone,” said Saurabh Vaish, CEO of Green Commerce Inc. The company also plans to allow retailers to launch mobile marketing campaigns.
